Welcome to Department of Electrical Engineering
The Bachelor of Electrical Engineering with Honours program is a 4-year course of study that strives to develop Electrical engineers with the necessary skills, creativity, and dedication to solve a variety of issues. All Electrical engineering disciplines are covered in the modules. The department’s courses consist of divisions including Micro/Nano Electronics, Control Systems Design, Network and Optimization, Conventional and Renewable Energies, Telecommunications, Radio-Frequency, Signal Processing, Instrumentation, Photovoltaic Cells, and Optics and Photonics. These divisions are actively involved in R&D projects with funding from the university, the government, and industry grants. Numerous academic members of the Department are pursuing diverse consulting positions in engineering.
The department has two major specializations in which students can proceed after their 3rd year in the study including
- Telecommunications and Networking Engineering
- Power and Energy Engineering
Entry Requirements
The minimum qualifications for candidates who intend to enroll a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering are as follows:
- High school Transcripts with a minimum of 75% and Passed Mathematics and Physics in National Examinations with minimum of Grade C
- Good Command in English
- If failed to bring certificates Candidates are required to submit the National Roll no ID during the admission process and bring the full Diploma and Certificates when Semester begins.
- Candidate has to bring 4 passport sized photos when registering physically.
Award Requirements
To graduate, students must:
- Pass all the required courses in total of 8 semesters with a minimum CGPA of 2.0.
